We’re running it back! We had a great time putting on the inaugural LA Throwback last year, and we heard from the players that they had a great time too, and supported the principles of community, service, financial transparency and more that were at the heart of what we tried to accomplish.

This year we are expanding the field from 64 to 80-plus teams. Headlining the field will be last year’s LA Throwback champions (and reigning Wildwood champions) Loose Seal, and last year’s runner-up Long Beach SportsCenter (who bear an uncanny resemblance to reigning USA Ultimate mixed beach champions Legacy). Like last year, we’ll have lined fields, a party with an open bar, water and ice on the fields, amenities, a commitment to a high level of service provided by a number of participating host teams from the area, and financial transparency. A portion of the proceeds will go to fund the development of ultimate locally, and we’ll publish our budget. Registration for LA Throwback on MLK weekend, Jan. 19-20 is now open here. And due to high demand, we’ve also opened up additional Festive and Competitive Divisions the prior weekend, at LA Throwback Early Bird 2019 on Jan. 12-13.
