Venice NighttimeBeach Ultimate

The LA Throwback Foundation has purchased LED lights for a nighttime pickup beach ultimate we set up each week (weather permitting). The game takes place on Wednesday evenings on the beach at the end of Rose Ave. We set out one or two lined fields (depending on #’s) along with the lights, and supply reversible brightly colored pinnies that are easy to see at night. The game starts sometime between 7:30 and 8 pm. There is no charge for the lights or the use of the pinnies, but we do ask that people register here and sign the waiver. Facilitating this new game for our community aligns with our mission, is fun, and happens after traffic, so please join us! If there’s interest, we’re willing to add other days.

Details:  Starting Weds July 28, 2021, the game takes place on Wednesdays. All levels welcome but come ready to run. Generally knowledgeable players running hard. We start setting up at 7:00 pm. Game starts a bit after 7:30 and goes til about 10:30 pm.  The best place to park free is on Hampton just north of Rose.  There is also a public fee lot ($5) at the end of Rose Ave (go all the way to the end of Rose and drive across the walkway into the lot…DO NOT turn left at the alley if there is a guy there with a “Public Parking” sign…that’s not run by the city and it is a RIPOFF). Registered players will get an email each week to confirm we’re on and provide any info on changes (e.g. start time, etc).

Covid-19 update: Players providing evidence of vaccination can play with no mask. We ask that all others bring and wear masks. Proof of vaccination (a pic of your vaccination card) can be emailed ahead of time to info@lathrowback.org if you like.
